Opis
Festival of Songs 2020, special autumn edition
As well as other choral and orchestras festivals and competitions around the world we decided to postpone our international festival for choirs and youth orchestras to autumn (28. 10. – 1. 11. 2020) with the hope that the life of ensembles, proffessional and personal, get back to normal.
We have prepared an extraordinary autumn edition of the festival regarding the past difficult period, which has had a severe impact on the activities of non-professional music ensembles. The autumn edition of the festival aims to prepare an environment suitable for meetings and exchange of experiences. The festival program is compiled with special regard to the fact that the activities of the ensembles were significantly limited. Together with all partners and cooperating organizations, we want to contribute to the renewal of the artistic activity of non-professional musical ensembles. Also, we want to present to the public the activities of ensembles affected by recent events together with other artistic and other disciplines.
Main activities:
COMPETITIONS for choirs and orchestras, MUNDI CANTANT AND HARMONIA IUVENALIS
The jury will give broad feedback and special “Prize of the Jury”. No points and medals will be distributed. Other conditions and rules are the same as well as the competition categories of each competition.Both competitions will be held on Friday 30. 10. and on Saturday 30. 10. 2020.
CHORAL WORKSHOP EVERSMILING LIBERTY FOR CHOIRS AND INDIVIDUAL SINGERS
Workshop for a joint studying of a rock oratorium Eversmiling Liberty of J. Johansen and E. Kullberg. The workshop is open to whole choirs, a part of a choir, and even for individual singers.The workshop will lead a well known Czech choirmaster – Milan Motl. In three days (29. – 31. 10. 2020) you will get a complete new and amazing experience at our festival! The atelier will be concluded with a open-air concert on Saturday 31. 10. 2020.
CONCERTS “LET’S TUNE IN!”
In cooperation with the Czech Choral Association we are announcing a new challenge for attendees of our festival. How it works?
The only thing you have to do is to register on our festival and be a part of any public concert even with a single song. Part of the registration fee together with the admission from the concerts will be donated to the Czech Choral Association activities and as a support project III. National summit of senior choirs. Let’s tune in to a charitable wave!
