Presentation of the album "Treasures of Music: Armenia" in Yerevan

On June 25, the capital of Armenia will host a grand concert-presentation of a CD containing Armenian folk music performed by 14 choirs from 5 countries: Poland, Armenia, Germany, Moldova and Ukraine.

This project, invented and initiated by Chórtownia, and implemented in close cooperation between ACCA (Armenian Choral Conductors' Association) and the Armenian Association in Poland aims to popularize the heritage of Armenian musical culture and promote talented, active choirs. It also disseminates the idea of international cooperation and openness.

14 choirs took part in this project - not only Armenian but also foreign ones. Poland is represented on this album by the Mixed Choir Klaster from Zabrze and the Chamber Choir Lege Artis from Krakow. There are also Shogher Choir from Munchen, Germany, Rapsodia-Mravalzhamieri from Chisinau, Moldova and Musical School Choir after P. Stolarskiy from Odessa, Ukraine.

The presentation of the project will be attended by ambassadors from participating countries, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Health of Armenia, members, founding members and honorary members of the ACCA Armenian Conductors Association. There will also be organizers of the drawing competition Pan-Armenian Painting Contest from the foundation Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets, whose winner, 11-year-old Julietta Adamyan (also invited to the concert) is the author of the album cover.

The most important participants of the concert will be the choirs:

Ave Maria Choir,
Komitas Choir,
ARAR Choir,
Choir of the Music School A. Ter-Ghevondyana,
Children's Choir of the Tavush Diocese
Vocal Art Ensemble.

The conductor of Vocal Art Ensemble Arno Barkhudaryan is very seriously ill and waiting for treatment - the performance of his ensemble will be a form of psychological support for this young, very capable man in his fight for health.

The other Armenian choirs (Khazer, Paros, Arahet) can't take part in the concert and will be represented by their conductors.

During the presentation, all participants will receive free copies of the CD they have co-created.

The fundraising campaign for further similar projects will also be carried out among the public.

The concert will take place in Yerevan, in the hall of the Musical Society of Armenia (Концертный зал Музыкального Общества Армении) at Sayat-Nova 15.
