In October 2024, the Chórtownia Foundation launched an international project, "Music – Supporting People in Depression" combining choral singing with mental health education. Thirty-three choirs from 29 cities across six countries participated in concerts, workshops, and open rehearsals, showcasing the therapeutic impact of choral singing on emotional well-being. Collaboration with psychology experts added significant value, offering both artistic and substantive support.

A pilot program for oncology patients was a key highlight. In partnership with the Upper Silesian Oncology Foundation at the Gliwice Oncology Institute, choral rehearsals became a unique form of music therapy. These sessions nurtured participants' emotional health, enabling them to express their feelings through singing and group interaction.

The campaign emphasized that music is not just art—it is a tool for improving mental health. Participants and organizers highlighted how collective music-making fosters integration, reduces stress, and enhances life quality. Importantly, the campaign stressed the need for proper depression treatment: avoiding self-diagnosis and seeking professional help for therapy or pharmacological support when needed.

Choirs participating in Chórtownia’s initiative demonstrated how singing and music can effectively aid in preventing and overcoming depression while improving overall well-being.
